Digital Storytelling with students

Generally, they all revolve around the idea of combining the art of telling stories with a variety of digital multimedia, such as images, audio, and video. Just about all digital stories bring together some mixture of digital graphics, text, recorded audio narration, video and music to present information on a specific topic. Digital storytelling is the practice of combining narrative with digital content, including images, sound, and video, to create a short movie, typically with a strong emotional component. Usually, we Use Digital Storytelling in Education as Explain the Complex Subject, To Introduce the New Ideas and New Events, Learn the Students to Use Technology, As Hook to Capture the Attention of Students and increasing their Interest in Exploring New Ideas and To Summarize Units.

 I used to teach nutrition in the school from Kindergarten to 12th grad. I was teaching student what the meaning of the nutrition, different types of food, what people can eat in different stages of life, and what the healthy food for sick people and how to cook. In this project, I let the students make a digital storytelling about depictions of food from the section's food group, in other mean food pyramid. Food Pyramid contains carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, oil, dairy, meets and peens. I will make groups of students make digital storytelling about each section of the food pyramid. Each group will talk about their section from different points as follow:

1-The identification.
2- Types.
3- Examples.
4- Show the recommended intake of their section.
5- Benefits and deterring.

I will lean the student how to use digital storytelling program and I will advise them to use some websites that can help them to learn more about the program to be more familiar with this program. In addition, I will give them other websites to search for what they need like photos, audio and other things. I believe that, digital storytelling is very helpful program and it supports the students to memorize the subject.
